A family moves into a new house that is apparently infested with ghosts. At first, the ghosts seem almost friendly or playful, but they soon start to terrorize the family and kidnap the youngest daughter.
Very entertaining paranormal horror fantasy directed by Tobe (Chainsaw Massacre) Hooper and co-written/ co-produced by Steven Spielberg. Spielberg was supposedly very unhappy with Hooper’s direction and ending up shooting additional footage. Followed by 2 sequels.
